We are still in discussion with Apple the selling outside the USA and Canada.
At the moment it all focuses on the sentence:

” but you need to get approval from BIS that you have met all the TSU open source requirements for a notification”

As alle sources are publicly available, this notification should be enough for our opinion.
As mentioned, I tried to email Michael and Judith several times but didn´t get any answer. I even had a telefophone call with Michael. He was really surprised to get a phone call from Germany for this but mentioned that he is not responsible for these questions and that the BIS doesn´t to these approvals as requestet from Apple.
The other CCATS is not doable for us as far as I can understand the documentation.

iKeePass version 1.2 is now online in the App store. We are sorry but this version is still only available in the USA and Canadue due the still going on discussions about the BIS export license.

Update: We will publish a fixed version as soon as possible for the folder/subfolder error. For an intermediate workaround see e.g. here.

New features:

• New gui for list and details views, see screenshots
• New database loading functions and building views functions. Loading and displaying databases is now really fast, even for very large databases.
• Leaving the App by standby or phone-call interrupt, the database will get closed (thanks to jschuster)
• Tap on username will copy the username to the clipboard
• Tap on password will copy the password to the clipboard
• Tap on the URL will open the URL and copy the password to the clipboard
• GUI user feedback when something is copied to the clipboard
• Comments will display all lines.
• “Close” button will return to the login dialog.

We will do some more testing over the weekend and then submit this version at the beginning of the next week.

Apple has rejected our first submission of the iKeePass update version 1.1 due the use of one so called non public function. This function is shown in many sample around the net and in many books. So if you are a iPhone developer, be careful what you use.
We will change these function calls and try again.

1. Copy your KeePass database to your public DropBox folder.
2. Display the DropBox URL for this file.
3. In the Server field, type in your DropBox URL without the database file name:

4. Press the “+” button and type in your database file name:

5. Press the “Open” button and type in your database password.

6. Delete the KeePass database file in your public DropBox folder.

Hints: If you are getting a error message “Database is corrupt”, then your username or your password is wrong, or a web authorization is required, which is not supported by iKeePass at the moment.
You can use the settings above to get a test database for iKeePass and check the DropBox way of syncing.

Here are some of the new features of iKeePass version 1.1:

Can someone please confirm that this is the correct link to the AppStore for iKeePass, due I don´t have a USA itunes account?

NOTE: This file runs only in the simulator environment - not on your iPhone.

Please unzip the downloaded file to :

~/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/

You should see a new folder (“0134BA76-2D08-4DF0-8666-B8DC5EA3AD58″) containing all necessary files. iKeePass will be automatically installed on the next start of the iPhone Simulator.

iKeePass is rejected again due supposed missing documentation of the test account. The documentation didnt change in the last subscriptions. Any help how I should change the documentation here appreciated.
