Really hoping that Apple reviews/accepts this. Would be great to have on my iPhone. And +1 on releasing the code!

I think they just want a demo.kdb submitted with ikeepass binary, so that there’s no downloading involved. The documentation itself show’s clearly the demo account and password.

Keep trying, they’ll approve it eventually.

    Hello Karsten,
For the documentation, would need he(it) not to mention the software part(party) on Mac or Windows with screen shots.

I give up. You either don’t know what you’re doing, or for some reason don’t want to follow the instructions that the developers of over 85000 apps have followed. This was a critical app for me. I’ll find another password solution

Does anyone know if there is a password manager/database file that can open and edit KeePass .kdb databases rather than import/convert them?

If so then maybe that can be a holdover until iKeePass is approved by Apple.

Send them an email. Ask them exactly what they want. I have done this to get my apps approved and they will respond.

Seriously, Karsten, please let me help. I’m an iPhone developer and will help you get this thing into the App Store FOR FREE if you’ll just let me.

You have my email address. Let me know. We need this software, BAD.

You need to stop calling Apple stupid and change your approach. You will not get anywhere with your current approach. You clearly MUST include a demo database with the app itself, and include the password with the instructions you submit to Apple. Do not force them to download anything. Do not force them to go to some website to get the instructions on what to do.

You might feel like they should be able to follow your “simple” test instructions, but most likely they are swamped with 1,000s of apps to test, and if you don’t make it as simple as possible for them, you will continue to run into issues.

  9. almoayed says:

I agree with brian. Apple WILL NOT even think of visiting any website or downloading any instructions. Everything MUST be included while admitting your app… Think of yourself having to check hundreds of apps every day.. I’m sure you will not be ready to go to any website and download anything…

  10. All-Purpose Guru says:

    Uhm, guys?

The database is *supposed* to be provided on a website somewhere. The iKeepass software is set up to get its initial datafile from a website due to the lack of on-board storage in the phone.

Apple asks you for a URL for a demo database so they can download it and test it. They want a URL and any other information needed to open and use that database.

When *you* get the app, you’ll put YOUR .kdb file on the web somewhere and download it into iKeePass.

Please don’t criticize if you don’t know what is going on.

An other solution is to put iKeePass on the cydia server, How use KeePass ? firstfull the developper, and they have for sure a Jailbreak iphone.

And sorry for the Apple peoples but Apple is not konw to be a Open Source Power giver.

Reggard, and Million of thank for the development of Keepass on Iphone, I hope in near time a version for the Mobile Open platform “ANDROID”
