How can I execute URLS?
You can execute URLs in iKeePass. You must give the URL handler in the URL, e.g. http:// If the iPhone knows more URL handlers, these will be known by iKeePass as well.
I don“t want to type in my password
When you set the URL (see above), you can tip on your url and the given program will start (Safari browser, ssh client, etc.). Before this, the password is stored in the iPhone clipboard, so can paste your password from the clipboard.
I get “database corrupted”
This is a wrong error message. Please check:
Is your URL or the filename wrong? is the file without login accessible? You can check this with your normal web browser. If you can download the database file without a login successfull, it works in iKeePass too.
If you have more suggestions for new faq entries, please email me at kf@ikeepass.de
Thanks to you for your work.
I’m french user of Keepass (windows) and unfortunately I can’t download iKeepass on french Apple store.
I would like to know when iKeePass will be available on french Apple Store ?

I’ve been watching for the release of this for a very long time and am now trying to pull my database into it.
I setup WAMP and can download my Database.kdb onto the phone however it consistently tells me something is corrupt. The downloaded database appears in the list
I can download it using my browser (http://192.168.1.2/database.kdb) and open it on my desktop so there is nothing wrong with the HTTPD setup.
I did notice that my files are kdbx files and not kdb however KeePass version 2.09 natively uses that extension so I renamed the kdbx to kdb. Is this newer format not supported? Any other tips than those provided?
Been waiting and waiting for such an app!
Are there any plans to support a .kdb file protected by a password AND a .key file? That’s how I currently have my database protected.
Thanks!
I have been waiting for this app – it’s very usefull.
Is there any plan to support .kbd files by password AND .key file?
Passwords stored on mobile devices such as iPhones need best protection (mobile devices might be lost, stolen…)?
I have uploaded a .key protected .kbd file and it’s .key. As those files are useles so far, I ‘d like to delete them. How can I do this?
Tank you!
I love using ikeepass on my iPod Touch. Everything worked as advertised the first time I tried it. I have subsequently added entries to the laptop version of KeePass. When I opened ikeepass with the new updated database loaded, the new entries were there, but they were all listed at the end of the folder. They did not integrate into the alphabetical listing. The new items on the laptop version automatically alphabetized themselves, but the new order did not carry over to my iPod Touch. This is probably an easy fix, but I can’t figure it out.
Hi There, …I have been struggling to get this working on my iphone. I have Keepass Safe v2.10 and I have saved the file to the dropbox public folder, using both the default file extension .kdbx and version 1 .kdb. The url is correct and filename of that I am trying to open. When I go to open the database, I enter the password, and its says opening, but nothing opens.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks!

I’m able to load my KeePass database into iKeePass and open a URL. When finished with that site is there a way to return to iKeePass to open another site without having to re-enter the database password each time? Thanks
