The first attempt for the Apple review process was rejected due some needed changes. E.g. we have to display the correct network status when downloading a keepass database. We will fix this requests and hope there will not follow more requests.
Update 3. June 2009: Rejected again. Apple wants some error messages to be changed.

Since I moved to a new appartment I didn´t have a real internet access during the last months ;-(
I got contacted by a apple employee which is responsible for the crypto export stuff. Since the status of BIS for open source seems more complicated as thought before, in the first step we will publish iKeePass just in the USA and Canada. For these two countries, there is now crypto export status needed. This is good news for all of us, because now iKeePass will be reviewed by Apple and hopefully be published in the AppStore.
When this is done, the source code of iKeePass will be published and we can continue to solve the crypto BIS problems so we get published in all other countries too.
If there are any people out there with more experience with the BIS stuff, please get in contact with me!

Since I didn´t post any news here for some time: there is no real new news yet ;-(
I published iKeePass to the iTunes Admin Area, but it´s still waiting for export compliance check status. Apple has to approve my email I sent to the bis. Here you can find a discussion about this from other open source projetcs. Let´s hope Apple will do this in the near future.

We now have a short beginners document about the iKeePass start dialog. In this dialog, you can configure your iKeePass databases, download them from the internet or from your local computer or reload already local databases on your iPhone.
Version 1 of iKeePass will be read only, you can just view your KeePass databases. In upcoming versions there will be functions for changing your password entries or add new entries.
We have submitted a bis release request and are waiting for the necessary documents which are needed to publish iKeePass on the Apple AppStore.

We are close to release iKeePass on the Apple AppStore. First we have to go through the BIS process (iKeePass uses cryptography) but that is quite confusing to me. Any help with this will be appropriate. Finalizing that process iKeePass can be added to the Apple AppStore. Hopefully that will not take more than a week to get published.
The first 10 users who send me the iPhone Identify Number will get a beta version of iKeePass by email. To get your iPhone device identify number, connect your iPhone to iTunes and open the overview page, click on the entry serial number and you will see the 40 byte number.
Update: Please do not send any new identify numbers. Our beta tester list is now complete.

I got a comment from Markus Schlecht that he is developing a gui for the keepass database too. Yesterday we had a telephone call and decided to forge our energies in one project – iKeePass. So please welcome Markus Schlecht as the new team member in iKeePass!

Hi, sorry for the missing news. I´m currently stucked in some projects – which are paying my dues…
I hope to release a first version at the end on Oktober. Despite the comments, the backend part to access the KeePass database are already working on the iPhone, yet the gui is not finished.
Currently I have some problems on debugging the iKeePass version an my iPhone, which leads in some USB device errors: 0xE8000001
The hints here didn´t work for me. Any hints here? If someone is living in Berlin and has some time, please send me an email.

I didn´t posted any news here for a while. I´m still on holidays (and we have a lot of holiday in germany). When I´m back, I have to complete some stuff in the iKeePass and test them.
Because of the special DRM system of Apple and the App Store as the only way to get applications to your iPhone, there is no real beta testing possible. I will publish the source code before publishing the application to the App Store, so everybody with the SDK can compile and test it on your local machine.

It´s time to start this project, since the domain is already online for some weeks. As you can guess by the domain, the goal of this project is to develop a portion of the password manager keepass to the iphone platform.Since the iphone SDK ist now available for public, we now have the chance to take a look into this SDK.Until now, I didn´t develop anything for the OSX platform, and either with Objective C or the XCode IDE.Any help on any part for this project is appreciated, so don´t hesitate to take part.
