Help wanted: Do you have problems using the internal web server?

Analyzing the crash reports that I get from iKeePass crashes (anonymized and without user info) some users have occurring crashes using the internal web server of iKeePass.

If you are one of this user and are willing to help me to reproduce and fix this problem, please send me a mail to kf@ikeepass.de

Some user have problems using the DropBox sync with iKeePass. If you have these problems and are using an iPhone and are willing to help me to analyze this problem, please send me an email to kf@ikeepass.de

Update 2012-02-03: This problem is fixed in the iKeePass version 2.4.4 and available in the Apple App Store.

review in the next days. We await a public version end of next week.

We already submitted a new version 2.3 for approval of Apple for fixing some bugs, e.g. if you tap on an entry e.g. password entry the value is not copied to the clipboard any more.

Due to several projects in the next two weeks, I can´t announce a new fixed release date for this version. The release should be available within the next two or three weeks.

We submitted the iKeePass version 2.1 to the Apple App store review process. Hope the release of Apple for this version will be as fast as last time and be around one week. This version is only fixing some bugs:

iKeePass: Startup problems on iPod Touch

iKeePass: iPad Version: add logout Button to get back to the login dialog

iKeePass: Automatic logout when app is closed

iKeePass: Crash in same cases when no database is configured

iKeePass: Search should be case insensitive

iKeePass: internal http server problems on some devices.

Because I will be visiting this years Apple World Wide Development Conference, I will continue the development in the second half of june. If someone wants to meet up at the WWDC, just send me an email.

At the end of the week we are going to upload iKeePass version 2.1 to the Apple app store.

Starting today iKeePass version 2.0 is released on the Apple App store. It´s an universal application so you can use it on iPhone and iPad. Current clients will get it via the automatically iTunes updates.

And after a long struggle of more than two year fight it´s now available in all countries!

Next steps:

In the next weeks, we will publish version 2.1 with native DropBox support

Many small bug fixes which are known at this time

We need to update our documentation and configuration documentation for the new version 2.x

Future steps:

Add support for adding and changing new password entries directly on the iPhone and iPad.

Today we submitted the iKeePass version 2.0 to the Apple App Store. Apple will now prove this version and will hopefully release it soon.

It has taken a long time, but at least now we’ve finally made it. iKeyPass 2.0 is ready for release. The core architecture was rebuilt to have the following features included:

Supporting iPhone and iPad
Searching
Supporting multiple databases
Improved importing of personal database to the iPhone/iPad
Improved error handling und error reporting
Fixing of most of the issues reported by the iKeyPass community

The next feature enhancements are already planned for the next minor release. We are currently working on:

Supporting kdbx (KeePass 2x.) databases
Supporting DropBox syncing

The version 2.0 should be submitted within the next 2 weeks to Apples App Store.
