iKeePass was developed with a focus on privacy and security. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your passwords or personal data.
Data Processing
Local Data Storage
All your data is stored exclusively locally on your device:
- Your passwords and credentials stay on your device
- Your master password never leaves your device
- No cloud connection required
- No telemetry or analytics
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect usage data
- We do not track your behavior
- We do not send data to servers
- We do not have access to your passwords
- We do not use third-party analytics
Cloud Synchronization
If you synchronize your database via a cloud service (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Nextcloud, etc.):
- The synchronization is set up by you
- iKeePass only reads the file from the chosen storage location
- The privacy policies of the cloud provider apply additionally
Biometric Data
For Face ID and Touch ID:
- Biometric data is processed exclusively by the operating system
- iKeePass only receives a yes/no response for authentication
- We have no access to your biometric data
